Director Retail

Description

We are looking for a Retail Director to lead and grow our Retail business in Spain, driving leasing, advisory and strategic expansion opportunities across high street, shopping centres and retail investment assets.

This person will play a key role in strengthening Dils Spain’s positioning within the retail real estate market, managing relationships with brands, landlords, investors and operators, while helping expand the business through strategic commercial initiatives and market expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Retail business line in Spain across leasing, advisory and commercial activities.

• Drive business development initiatives and identify new opportunities with landlords, retailers, investors and developers.

• Advise clients on retail leasing strategies, market positioning, expansion plans and asset commercialization.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with national and international brands, landlords, shopping centre operators and institutional investors.

• Analyze market trends, consumer behavior and retail dynamics across different retail formats and locations.

• Lead negotiations for leasing transactions, commercial agreements and strategic mandates.

• Work closely with Capital Markets, Research, Offices, Hospitality and other business lines to support integrated client solutions and cross-selling opportunities.

• Lead, manage and develop the Retail team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance and entrepreneurial culture while supporting the professional growth and development of team members.

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and talent development initiatives within the Retail area in line with the company’s growth strategy.

• Represent Dils Spain externally through industry events, networking initiatives and market publications.

• Collaborate with the broader Dils international platform to support international retail clients and cross-border opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience within Retail real estate, leasing, commercial advisory or investment environments.

• Strong understanding of the Spanish retail market, including high street, shopping centres and retail park dynamics.

• Established network within the retail sector, including brands, landlords, operators and investors.

• Strong commercial, negotiation and client management skills.

• Previous experience managing and developing teams within a fast-paced and commercial environment.

• Ability to combine market knowledge, strategic vision and business development capabilities.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• High level of English and Spanish required.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, autonomy and ability to operate in a fast-growing environment.
